After an appeal from the Americas Paralympic Committee, the IPTTC with the support of the IPC has agreed not to implement its decision to reduce the ranking factor of the IPC Americas championships held last year in Argentina from 50 to 30. This decision is taken in the best interests of the athletes and sport. However, the IPTTC re-emphasises its commitment to the World Anti-Doping Code. All organisers will be reminded of this commitment and of the need to implement it in the best interests of the athletes and sport.

As in 2002 for Taipei world championships, IPTTC SAEC has decided to keep all ranking points of regional championships at 100% (except for Americas who is under sanction).

Ranking factor of Parapanamerican Table Tennis Championships has been reduced from 50 to 30 as a penalty for invalid doping control as decided by IPTTC SAEC in item 13.9 g of the minutes of the meeting held in Bonn in January 2006. It should have been done in April 2006.
